This is a collection of information that you may find useful in case of an emergency.

Where do I find emergency rooms?

There are two options:

Please notice this hospital is NOT situated in Sønderborg , but in Aabenraa, situated approximately 35 minutes driving from Sønderborg city.

Where do I find a dentist outside opening hours?

Call Falck on ph: 7635 4074
(open all day on Saturdays, Sundays, Holydays)

Explain to them why you need to see a dentist urgently. Falck subsequently contacts the dentist on duty, who then gets in touch with you and inform you where to go, etc.

If you visit the dentist under these circumstances, you must be prepared to pay cash for their services. However, in most cases expenses for children under the age of 18 will be sent to the municipal authority.

Where do I find a doctor outside opening hours?

Outside of normal opening hours you may contact the doctor on duty on ph: 70110707

It is essential to call in advance! The doctor will decide on what to do. In case the doctor wishes to see you for a consultation the address is:

Where do I find a pharmacy (apotek) outside of normal opening hours?

In case of an emergency, call the answering machine of one of the two. There will be detailed information about opening hours. Be aware that the information will be recorded in Danish!

Where do I find the police (politi)?

The police station is situated on Ringridervej 37, central Sønderborg, just opposite the main entrance to the local stadium (stadion in Danish). Tlf. 114
